I don't know that this is a great quality MIDI, but it is a MIDI of Spancil Hill....still looking for more. http://www.askjeeves.com/MetaAnswer.asp?MetaEngine=AltaVista&logQID=DF4BA14B219AD21181E500600894893D&qCategory=TUNE&qSource=0&frames=yes&site_name=Jeeves&scope=web&r=x&MetaTopic=Manus+Hand%27s+Irish+Folk+Songs+Page&MetaURL=http%3A%2F%2Fstarship.skyport.net%2F%7Emanus%2Fmusic%2Firish%2F&EngineOrdinal=5&ItemOrdinal=1&ask=where+can+I+hear+a+MIDI+file+of+Spancil+Hill%3F+metasearch&MetaList=http%3A%2F%2Fstarship.skyport.net%2F%7Emanus%2Fmusic%2Firish%2F&Go_to.x=14&Go_to.y=12 I know it's a rather cumbersome looking thing. Just copy and paste it into the address space, and it'll take you to a place where you can find Spancil Hill. Let me know if it's what you're looking for! Rose |

However, I am sorry to say that I was unable to download the midis - you can only play them on that site - if you come up with any more please let me know. Happy New Year! Chuck |

If you use alan's MIDITXT program (you'll find it with the MIDI) you should be able to convert it. Slainte alison |

12 Jan 99 - 10:09 AM (#53650) Subject: RE: HELP WANTED - QUALITY IRISH MIDI Sites From: Ralph Butts If your browser options and/or file associations are set to PLAY a MIDI file rather than to SAVE it, you can have the problem described in the third message (above). You can investigate these options - OR - there's another alternative. Even if you've only PLAYed a MIDI file, you may still be able to retrieve it by looking in your browser's Cache. Find the Cache using Explorer (or equivalent), view Details, sort in inverse order by date, and your recent files should be on top. Then you can copy/paste into a more convenient area. Alternatively, do a Find File, specifying *.MID in the Name portion. This will locate all the MIDI files on your system. Scroll down the list, checking the location (folder) until you find those in your Cache. Checking the date/time field should show you those you have just downloaded. You can cut and paste from here, also. I know this will be too complicated for some, too trivial for others, but thought I would try to help. ....Tiger |

It's not exclusively Irish, but I like Lesley Nelson's Contemplator Web site. One more good site is this temporary relacement for ReelMusic: click here -Joe Offer- |
