"The Folk Musicians stamps will be dedicated at a 7 p.m. (ET) ceremony kicking off the Folkways Founders/U.S. Postal Service Folk Musicians Stamps Concert. This year's [ie, 1998] Folklife Festival marks the 50th anniversary of the historic Folkways record label." Portrayed on the 32-cent Folk Musicians stamps are: Woody Guthrie, Sonny Terry, Huddie "Lead-belly" Ledbetter, and Josh White. Stamps were designed by Howard Paine and illustrated by Bernie Fuchs. 26 Jun 05 - 04:40 PM (#1510481) Subject: RE: happy? - June 26 From: Abby Sale Yes, I still have a sheet - what will you offer? :-) Actually, ask your friendly post office person. I understand that most recent old issues are available. If none are actually left in the PO, they give you an order form to buy direct. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get them online at usps.gov. Lemme look...
