Greetings, ddl. Head north for a decent pint of mild, if you like dark ale. No need to travel that far for sea-shanty-chanting folkeys though. All of Britain is plagued with such types (as is this caff). For the moment, it remains a perfectly legal minority interest, so there's not much that can be done about it.

Well - DDL - I'm in Texas but welcome to the Mudcat. We're like one big happy disfunctional family. As a matter of fact - we put the "fun" back into disfunctional. Really - there is a wealth of information to be found here. Welcome.

and then click on the pm link to the right of Leadfingers name.

You can then send him a private message. He will then respond back to you.

When he responds you will see that you have X number of messages at the top of the webpage and to the right of The Mudcat Cafe. Click on it and you will be able to open his reply. And so it goes on.

Uxbridge folk club is on a tuesday but just about to break for summer (its a good club I ran it for eight years!) It starts up again in september, Herga is moving to Hatch end on Monday (Harrow arts centre) which is off the Uxbridge Rd Hatch end.
Good luck ( I think some of the Uxbridge people are off to see "Craig.morgan Robertson" At cecil sharpe house next Tuesday (thinking about it that is probably the link the villan has posted!
anyway good luck and let us know how you get on.

Welcome to Mudcat. There are some silly fights, but you can ignore them. There is a lot of good stuff and many lovely people here. I have been swapping CDs with people from all over the UK, the US and even Canada. I haven't half learned a lot too.

Welcom to Mudcat DDL. I will be visiting England in August and performing at Herga Folk Club on the 8th and St Albans on the 10th. I hope to meet you at one or both. The Cat is filled with talented, interesting people with answers to almost any questions you might wish to pose. I hope you enjoy Mudcat as much as we do.

Mike

Welcome to the Mudcat, dark drinking lady! Hi hope you enjoy your times here in our humble little cafe. I have always enjoyed coming here. You'll find that the 'Catters are helpful & caring folks. When I have needed a song asap, a terrific "Catter helped me out. When I commented how I wished I had a certain recording, a 'Catter provided me with one. When I had a question none of the fellers around my area couldn't answer, the 'Catters cam through for me again. When I want to spend time with folks who appreciate my kind of Music, this is the place to be. Cheers!

A copy of Shirefolk or the Broadsheet might be useful. Can anyone provide links?

I'm not sure if he's still doing it or not, but you can find it online at: The Broadsheet - see the Current Listing link there (you can decline the ActiveX controls without problem).
