I recently heard this wonderful Andy Cutting tune at a session. Does anybody know where I can download a Wav, Midi or ABC file of it? The dots arn't a lot of use to me as I can't read them. I have to do it by ear!
Cheers

Elizabeth Clare is a Chris Wood tune, written I think for his wife. It's on the Wood/Cutting album Lusignac, available here.

Thanks, I was told it was Andy Cutting, sorry I got it wrong. I might try the c.d. if I can find it for sale at Whitby or Fylde fests, but I have never done the buying online thing & I am still a bit dubious about it all. ( I am a bit of a dinasor, I hardly ever use a credit card, unless I have to!)

Yes, the Countess is right. On Lusignac, Chris and Andy do a re-write of Hares on the Mountain, and splice on Chris's tune written for his wife. Oddly enought, the Battlefield Band use a snippet of it on Beaches of St Valerie, too.

A totally wonderful tune - so good I nicked it and it's a staple of my set after, oh, five, six, seven years.

I've an MP3 snippet on my site - played on harmonica + guitar, but have more recently transcribed to guitar. But it's not quite right, I'm afraid - I've mangled the tune a bit. But it's still pretty. Makes *me* dance, anyway.

Cheers
