BS: Is This Weather Shite ???

i am speaking from the UK here

i think = yes, it is, because, the summer is all well and good, and nice to go camping, cycling, or walk around naked, but at the moment, i think = its taking the piss!!!! its just TOO hot... nothing wrong with a bit of sun and warm weather, but its too bloody hot.

its all your bloddy lots fault driving cars, farting, and breathing in general, making global warming, next year it will be even hotter because = more people will be farting and driving about, make it even hotter, and then the year after, when we step outside, so many people farting, that we will all cook outside when we go outside, like a piece of bloddy toast.

so in conclusion, i think this weather = shite.

so stop bloddy driving and farting and making it too bloddy hot

Sky's blue, puffy white clouds, nice sunshine, temperatures in the 80s (F) -- it's really quite pleasant.

Move to Idaho.

Temperature is in the 80s here too but thats what we're complaining about. Too hot to move let alone have school sports day like we did today! If I was sitting in the shade with a long cool drink or in an air conditioned building I might feel differently.

I was in London almost two years ago ~ August '03 ~ for the hottest day in recorded history.

It was comparablke to an average July envening in New Orleans, but the difference is that here in the subtropics we have air conditioning everywhere, whereas in London not even the subway system (underground) or Heathrow Airport has A/C, so the rare occasional 90-degree-Farenhieit day can be really intolerable.

Here on the south coast of the US, the weather isn't "shite," it's downright scary. Tropical Storm Emily (note that initial "E" is the fifth letter of the alphabet) is out in the Carribean, poised to become a hurricane any hour now. This is the earliest date in history for the fifth "named storm" of the year.

too bloddy hot, is where you go to bed, and 3 hours later you are sweating and realise that for the last 3 hours youve bean trying to get to bloddy sleep, but failed, and probably will fail for the rest of the night
thats too bloody hot, or when theres more people on that bloddy beach - brighton, or wherever the hell it is, when theres more people there than sand, and people walking about naked and men walking around in bloody small tight speedos that are too bloody small and think they look goood.

well = you dont look good, you look like a bloddy idiot, put some shorts on, idiot.

and also= some of them, bloody walk around in speedos and swimming goggles, bloody stupid! then they look even more stupif!!!!

so, put some shorts on instead of bloody tight speedos, tight speedos also contributing to global warming, put some shorts on, stupid people! or if you want to wear bloody speedos, bloody stay in your house then, and walk around in them! we dont want to see your bloody speedos.

PS - all this is when you know its too bloody hot

Bite your tongue AK Mike! I tell people to go ahead and enjoy the warm weather but keep in mind: It ain't normal! What will happen next year and the next and the next?? Transitions are one thing, what comes later is scary. (I tell friends: Buy land! Plant bananas!)

Acually, at the moment our weather in Juneau is normal- foggy, a little drippy, air sweet and cool, temperature about 60.

The temperature in Ottawa at 21:00 Z was 30.4 degrees Celsius, which is 86.4 degrees Fahrenheit and not cool by any stretch of the imagination. The Humidex was 40 Celsius, 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The air is so thick I feel as if I'm wading through it, and my trachea slams shut with the first hot breath of bus fumes on Rideau Street. I'm running on talcum powder and asthma drugs.

This is the third big heat wave we've had since Victoria Day, and it's expected to last the rest of the week. Summer's not even half over.

The morning news on CBC started out with Gurment Grewal and his campaign expenses but quickly segued to the weather, which is apparently "excessive" (their word) all over Canada -- pissing down in BC, floods on the Prairies, stinking hot across Ontario and Quebec, and heavy fog in the Atlantic provinces.

Did someone insult the Weatherman? Would he or she please apologize?

Hey, I'm enjoying our cool showery weather on the coast. This is the first time in many years that I haven't been stressed about the high forest fire hazard in our neighbourhood. Global warming? maybe, but the weather here seems closer to what I remember as par for summers, when I was a kid. Maybe the grey damp of the past 2 months is just a 50 year cycle after all....or maybe, when I was a kid, a couple of rainy days in the summer spoiled a lot of stuff that seemed important to me then.

UK here and it's not got much above 70F (21C) today. I'd be happy with that as I don't want it any warmer but most of the days lately have either been cloudy or misty and I want some sunshine.

It seems to mostly have been a plot since I had a solar panel fitted to the roof of a shed. We have had the odd good day where I've seen the meter go up to its maximum of about 4.5A (and I once got 28Ah over a day) but on many days I've rarely seen it even reach 1A and have had daily readings as bad as 8Ah which at say 12.5V is 100Wh. Not bad is it? The middle of UK summer and some days it's taking an 80W panel all day to produce just that. I dread to think what it will do in the winter.

it has been over 100----(F) that is over 40 (C)
and time to head for the shade or a swimming hole!!

it is bearable if you have water...to jump in,
pour on your head, sprinkle the lawn and run thru, etc.

It been over 100 degrees here everyday for the past week or so' at least 10 degrees above normal. Today was 102, tomorrow is supposed to be 104. Phoenix was 113!! We've got AC and evaporative coolers aka swamp coolers, but even they can't keep up when it gets that hot. My daughter, grandson and I spent the afternoon in our bedroom with the ac on high. I don't do well in heat at all and I think it's been way too bloody hot here, too!

I know, before you say it, yes, it's DRY heat in Colorado. Just go turn on your oven broiler and stand there for a bit and tell me if dry heat makes any difference! Hot is hot! **bg** (I have to admit I'd rather that than the Three Aitches: hot, hazy and humid, in New England, though.:-)

We are blessed with a maritime layer than dissipates excess heat for us. A bit inland, though, it's been hitting 100 regularly. Where I live it gets as high as 80 or so. Rough.

We get hit badly in the dead of winter, though, when it goes all the way down to 70 or so F. Sweater weather!

If you will recall - this season, last year - was one of the coolest on record for the UK - and this winter, snow actually fell in Cardiff.

While the temperature at 30 celsius is a bit on the high side in London today, it doesn't feel as humid as it sometimes is. In the middle of the UK heatwave two years ago we were in Budapest and although it was hotter over there, the low humidity made it much more comfortable. When I returned home, I stepped off the plane at Heathrow and just poured with sweat - something I hadn't done in Hungary.

Given that many UK dwellers are complaining of the heat and that water shortages, hosepipe bans and even standpipes are being threatened, why do weather forecasters insist on claiming the these hot dry days are an improvement on cooler days?
