Im new at forums in fact this is my first time, I had a quick peruse of the messages and got the distinct impression that a fair bit of goose chasing goes on. A thankless task chasing geese. So Id like to say I've an avid participant of the folk scene in Australia including running an accoustic coffee shop at one point. Ill be back and I hope Im welcome

Interesting charactor - I need to explore his music more.

Naw - most requests are NOT WildGoose Chases - it might appear that way because the really "tough" ones remain up for awhile.

Welcome aboard - there pototaos in the kitchen that need k-peeling

North Star

Words Music byJesse Winchester
From the LP "Third Down, 110 To Go"
Copyright 1972

Heaven's got this one star that don't move none
And that's the place you want to aim your soul
Set you on a spot that knows no season
And be satisfied just to watch old Jordan roll

Now, does the world have a belly button?
I can't get this out of my head
Cause if it turns up in my yard
I'll tickle it so hard
'Til the whole world will laugh to wake the dead

We've all heard that one note song that says it
And a gentle little hum is all it is
Close your ears and you can't help but hear it
And a gentle little hum that's all it is

Does the world have a belly button?
I can't get this out of my head
Cause if it turns up in my yard
I'll tickle it so hard
'Til the whole world will laugh to wake the dead

Well done Garg...

btw, just what character set/ keyboard emulation are you using case these characters

don't correspond to punctuation on my screen - they come out somewhat as

umlaut i   /    upside down ?    /   miniature '1/2' character

is it meant to be a double quote   "

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Does the world have a belly button?"
Don't know if it does, but it definitely has an arsehole - and sometimes I feel like I'm living in it....
Interesting song.
yes, the world has a belly button. Read Thor Heyerdahs's "Aku Aku," and you can verify that the people of Easter Island refer to it as "the navel of the world."
Reminds me of the old joke about what happens when you unscrew the belly button. You don't suppose that someone has done that to the world?
GG, thank you. That was elegant.
Welcome home, Cat Called Remember.
