From the 20th July 2005 to 31st August 2005 the Falcon will be having several "Guest Nights" as a lead-up to the Fylde Folk Festival in September.

Guests invited Include

~ Brian Preston - 20th July 2005 9.00pm ~

- Sing Around Session - 27th July 2005 9.00pm -

~ "Big Al" Whittle - 3rd August 2005 9.00pm ~

- Open Mic Session -10th August 2005 9.00pm -

- Sing Around Session or Surprise Guest! 17th August 2005 9.00pm -

~ Julie Ellison - 24th August 2005 9.00pm ~

~ Pre-Festival "Bash" 31st August 2005 8.00pm~

The Falcon will be open as usual Every Wednesday with Music & Song Sessions and "Open Mic" evenings when there isn't a Guest Night 9.00pm - 11.15pm

Other Dates, Artistes, times etc will be posted Here once confirmed

The Falcon regulars, will supply support for the artists, and there will not be an entrance charge.

Raffle with some nice prizes eg: Meal For two, Wine, CDs etc.

Bugger! - well spotted Dick - we won't charge you when you come to see Brian on Wednesday 20th July, but then again No One will be charged because It's Free

Saturday: 6th August not aware of any.

Sunday: 7th August The Steamer, Next to Fleetwood Market. Main/y Musician sessions, but singist are welcome to play in fact (and they don't know it yet) We will be invading them as our usual Sunday session is cancelled for the next couple of weeks - maybe we'll see you there?

Just back from the gig.

What a wonderful evening, everyone but everyone said how brilliant Julie was, and how much they'd enjoyed the evening.

So thank you Julie and John for coming along and giving us entertainment at such a high standard - and such lovely people as well.

Thanks must also go to Dave for opening the evening and doing a great set - you can have your operation now!

Next Wednesday - 8.00pm Start for the Pre Fylde Folk Festival Fun Night - extra band confirmed will be an Ian Gartside Line up.. but will it be The Ian Gartside Band, Willy & the Poorboys or ?? you'll have to come along to find out :0)

Saw and listened to Julie last night, what a great performer!! Many evnious eyes watching her superb guitar playing, If the audience had had their way she would have been playing until the early hours.
Julie's reputation is rightly deserved.

Hi folks. Just thought I'd post a warning about a misprint in the latest issue of "Folk North West" magazine.

Julie Ellison's advert shows her at The Falcon on Fri Sept 16th. She is in fact at Rhyl Folk Club on that night.

Her gig dates in the listings and "Newsreel" sections are correct.

Apologies for any confusion.
