Pub looking for Morris (Bucks, UK)

One of our local pubs is under new management and is looking to "adopt a folk club" or start a jam session etc. Also has a very large car park and is keen on attracting Morris dancers.

At the moment I think all local clubs are aadequately housed, and having recently tried to run a session locally the main problem around here seems to be not enough musicians not lack of venues - however Morris sides may be interested in the car park!

The pub is the Royal Standard of England in Forty Green, near Beaconsfield. It is one of several pubs claiming to be the oldest in England and certainly is old and atmospheric with good beer, food etc and does get bus loads of American tourists in the summer. The manager is Matthew. I'll not post the phone number here to reduce risk of possible abuse but you can find it on the web (yell.com at least).

try contacting the sides in the area direct, all the contact details are on the web. Most folkies have never even heard of Mudcat.

I'd love to sing in the Royal Standard, having been introduced to it when in my teens, and just about old enough to drink the Marstons Owd Roger, when the Royal Standard was the only pub to serve it on draught. But has the RS got a licence under the new Licensing Act which covers musical performances?

I think the local Morris sides know about the Royal Standard already, don't they?
