You can order by e-mail on some credit cards. The Grieg-Duncan collection is the songs noted by Gavin Grieg and Rev. James B. Duncan around Aberdeen in the early 20th century. The Grace Darling song which was part of the original thread above was one of those, alongside the 'Blaydon Races' etc. Her story is one of amazing bravery, but the band read the words of the song, and decided it was an awful piece of doggerel & wanted nothing to do with it & Jim Lloyd accepted that. Reading it again, I think we were dead right. |
