In a way, it is an encouraging story, because it shows that there are folks around like your friends, who are prepared to stand up and do the right thing. More people who take responsibility like they did - and at great risk - make the world a little less safe for the thugs. Too many people say,"It's none of my business", when in acutal fact it is everyone's business. I won't be the only one here to admire your friends. I wish there were more around like them. |

Those that intervene seem to get the brunt of it. In Vancouver, a young woman was actually killed when she attempted to intervene in a dispute. I'm not sure what the answer might be but I certainly admire those that attempt to protect anyone who is being victimized. |

The first one was on the Annexe, when the Cat was down. Now there's one here. I expect more people will see it here - on the other hand, with the Cat bouncing up and down the way it has been, ya never know.... Congratulations to your brave friends. I hope they are okay now. It's amazing when you look at the difference between the mindset of the perpetrator and that of the rescuers - you could see the full range of human behaviour from the different people in that incident.
