The words which John Hindsill remember are the version he is interested in. I searched the database using "bloom, sage" and other phrases John remembered, but nothing came up. Any other ideas? Johnny Mercer. Sorry, could not find lyrics, but maybe an old-fashioned BOOK of his songs from a library or music store might help. Keep up the good search. |

I won't send a packet of lyrics out to dad for a few days, yet. I did find Little Bell Brandon at Levy's but couldn't read it, so will email them for more. This has really made my dad's day. He takes such pleasure in his music and is such a grand resource himself, being a real, live old time cowboy and all. I really can't thank you all enough! But, I'll try. Mmmmm...somebody was wanting to add to the mousie story I started earlier...maybe a poem I wrote about "Flies at the Transmitter" would suffice? Nah....I need to add to that...there's barely enough for one verse. Well, I'll have to see what else I can come up with. In the meantime, I am a Kat Laughing (with joy in such simple and easily attainable pleasures as pleasing an old man who is so precious to me!) |
