Lyr Req: Help! I can't find the titles!

Subject: Lyr Req: Help! I can't find the titles!
From: GUEST,Paul

Hi everyone:

I sure hope someone can help me to find these titles. The first one goes like this:

"Fire in our eyes, desire fills the night
Burning in our hearts, it's far from reality"

The second one, I think I heard it on a Victoria's Secret ad, goes like this:

"Love me, love me, say you'll never leave me
Hold me, Hold me"

Thanks for your help. Have a great day!

Paul

The second one is familiar: A pop song from the 70s? Something like '(Don't you know that) I'm in love with you.' That phrase finishes that verse, anyway. 4/4 time.

The "fire in our eyes" line appears prominently in lyrics from the Transformers movie, but I don't find anything resembling the rest of the lyrics. The phrase itself seems to be popular with "modern rock" musicians, but again no matches to the remaining lyric.

I do believe that I've found the subject matter our people are searching when they pick up all that nasty spyware that we get so many complaints about, since half a dozen "new rock" sites I clicked into attempted installations. One side had mousewheel scrolling turned off as if the page wasn't selected, and large blank areas of the screen were hiden "install now" links to nasty crud so that if you clicked a blank spot to "reactivate" you'd start a download. A good half-dozen sites blocked more than a dozen popups each, and displayed the phony "Your system is infected with spyware, click here to scan now" links.

Unless you can confirm that your songs are NOT OF THIS GENRE, I will make no further searches. It's a lot safer looking at porn.

From: Brian Hoskin

Is the second lyric this one?

Lovefool - The Cardigans

Dear, I fear we're facing a problem,
You love me no longer I know and,
Maybe there is nothing that I can do to make you do.
Mama tells me I shouldn't bother,
That I ought to stick to another man,
A man that surely deserves me.
But I think you do.

So, I cry and I pray and I beg,
Love me, love me, say that you love me,
Fool me, fool me, go on and fool me,
Love me, love me, pretend that you love me,
Lead me, lead me, just say that you need me,
So I cry and I beg for you to
Love me, love me, say that you love me,
Lead me, lead me, just say that you need me,
I can't care about anything but you,
Lately, I had desperately pondered,
Spent my nights awake and I wondered,
What I could have done in another way to make you stay,
Reason will not teach a solution,
I will end up lost in confusion,
I don't care if you really care as long as you don't go,

So, I cry and I pray and I beg,
Love me, love me, say that you love me,
Fool me, fool me, go on and fool me.
Love me, love me, pretend that you love me,
Lead me, lead me, just say that you need me,
So I cry and I beg for you to
Love me, love me, say that you love me,
Lead me, lead me, just say that you need me,
I can't care about anything but you,
Anything but you,
Love me, love me,
Say that you love me,
Fool me, fool me,
Go on and fool me,
Love me, love me,
I know that you need me,
I can't care about anything, but you.

Subject: Lyr Add: HOLD ME, THRILL ME, KISS ME (Harry Noble)
From: JohnInKansas

The second one is maybe this one from: Lyrics Playground

HOLD ME, THRILL ME, KISS ME
(Harry Noble)

Karen Chandler - 1953
Muriel Smith - 1953
Mel Carter - 1965
Gloria Estefan - 1994

Hold me, hold me
Never let me go until you've told me, told me
What I want to know and then just hold me, hold me
Make me tell you I'm in love with you

Thrill me (thrill me), thrill me (thrill me)
Walk me down the lane where shadows will be (will be), will be (will be)
Hiding lovers just the same as we'll be, we'll be
When you make me tell you I love you

They told me "Be sensible with your new love"
"Don't be fooled, thinking this is the last you'll find"
But they never stood in the dark with you, love
When you take me in your arms and drive me slowly out of my mind

Kiss me (kiss me), kiss me (kiss me)
And when you do, I'll know that you will miss me (miss me), miss me (miss me)
If we ever say "Adieu", so kiss me, kiss me
Make me tell you I'm in love with you

(Kiss me) kiss me, (kiss me) kiss me
When you do, I'll know that you will miss me (miss me), miss me (miss me)
If we ever say "Adieu" so kiss me, kiss me
Make me tell you I'm in love with you

(Hold me, thrill me)
(Never, never, never let me go)
(Hold me, thrill me, never, never, never let me go)

FADE
(Hold me, thrill me, never, never, never let me go)

yeah, it's 'Hold me, thrill me, kiss me' one recording dsoes have the lyrics 'don't you know that I'm in love with you.' I think each verse varies that phrase slightly, at least in the version I always heard.

"Hold me, thrill me, kiss me" was one where the melody popped into mind, and humming along sort of "assembled" enough more words to bring up the title. I don't recognize any of the listed recordings as ones I ever heard do it, but I can't recall who else it might have been.

Recollection is that the "third verse" is notated as a bridge, and there's a "mode change" and a slightly different "beat" for that one. It was a popular dance tune at the "old-folks" dances my short-lived combo played in the 1955-1957 era.

There's a different song titled just "Hold Me," that appears in The Real Little Ultimate Fake Book:

Hold Me
Words and Music by Little Jack Little, Dave Oppenheim, and Ira Schuster
© 1933 MGM, renewed Chappell

Hold Me, Honey won't you
Hold Me, never let me
Go
Take Me, Honey won't you
Take Me, Never to for-
Get Me, 'cause I love you
So.

Thrill Me, let your kisses
Thrill Me, Just like
You alone can do

Hold Me, tenderly en-
Fold Me, Never try to
Hold me,
from you.

The Ultimate Country Fake Book, in most revisions, has another titled just "Hold Me." This book gets re-released frequently, with minor changes in content. I show this title in at least the first, third, and fourth editions.

Hold Me
Words and Music by K. T. Oslin
©1988 Wooden Words Music/Polygram International

Hold Me Tighter
Tell me that tomorrow will be brighter
Kiss me
Kiss me a little harder
Don't kiss me like we're married
Kiss me like we're lovers
...

There are two verses and more to the chorus; so if this looks like what's wanted I can do the rest of a transcription later, but my morning newsrag just hit the porch so I need to read the funnies and get to bed.

JohnInKansas let me presume you are in Kansas .A guy in Britain made a "HIT" middle late 60's ? with very similar lyric lines as your 1st offering above Hold Me Words and Music by Little Jack Little, Dave Oppenheim, and Ira Schuster
© 1933 MGM, renewed Chappell
It was by another American incidentally - one P.J.Proby.
Apparently when he started out in music, he had to sing newly written, or, songs where a recording didn't exist ,to Elvis, so he could hear how they sounded ,before Elvis could decide whether to learn them or not.

Useless information or what ? - verily.
