05 Aug 05 - 05:18 PM (#1535961) Subject: Lake District Sessions? From: silverfish I'm an impecuniate singer/songwriter spending a few days (7th to 14th Aug) in the Lake District. Does any kind soul know of any sessions within a reasonable travelling distance of Bowness-on-Windermere during that period? I'd be grateful for any pointers. Thanks |

No time left to practice my jigs 'n reels - as I recollect they play them at lightspeed up in that part of the country! Cheers, Martin. Catch you when I get back. |

From: GUEST,Welsh Weasel Hi there Try the Queen's Head in Keswick on Tuesdays which is amplified but encourages floor singers, or the Old dungeon Ghyll, Langdale on (I think - Phone 'em to check) Thursdays, an informal session. Both are excellent fun and very friendly. Cheers Wayne |
