08 Aug 05 - 08:54 AM (#1537486) Subject: Help - Accordion tuner/services wanted From: Rockhen (2nd time of trying to start this but hope I've done it right this time...)Does anyone know of someone who can tune and service piano accordions in the (North)Lincolnshire area? Mine is getting a bit in need of the odd note tuning and I can't find anyone, although I did find one chap who said he could do it.... When i took it round, he plonked my accordion, forcefully, onto a workbench covered in oil and woodshavings and very large hammers...so i 'remembered' that i would need it the next day after all... Don't ask me why, but I had just lost a little confidence in his ability to treat my accordion with the care I wanted for it! It is a Hohner accordion and only a basic model but is mine and I rather like it. |

PM me if you would like his number. ps Sounds like you made a good decision. Wish I could think that fast in situations like that! |

08 Aug 05 - 10:30 AM (#1537571) Subject: RE: Help - Accordion tuner/services wanted From: Dave Hanson Whe you get it tuned, get it welded, preferably to the back of a bus. PM means 'personal message ' it's like email for mudcat members only, go to your personal page and follow the instructions. eric |
08 Aug 05 - 11:07 AM (#1537625) Subject: RE: Help - Accordion tuner/services wanted From: Skipjack K8 I'll send you one, Rockhen, and then you should see it appear up at the top of the screen. |

And look on the right hand side of a persons name when they leave a message on a thread you will see PM. Click on this and you will see the name of the person come up on the screen, write your message and send it. Only the person you have PMed can read it. |

BTW, eric (tr), I saw Bubbles, your accordion repair guy and seamstress yesterday. He said he wants you call him and let him know if you want your middle initial included in the rhinestone signature on your red and gold mother of toilet seat polka accordion, and also whether you want the crushed velvet accordion case lining to match your purple cape, or your flamingo pink one with the matching tiara. He said please call asap. |
