I was also about to post my chords for this song when I noticed that this requester didn't even give us the courtesy of joining as a member. Why should I waste my time with him/her? Bob |

10 Aug 05 - 06:17 AM (#1539214) Subject: RE: Chord Req: chords to muleskinner blues From: GUEST,Hootenanny As a guest myself I must congratulate "Deckman" for wasting his time by telling everyone that he is not going to waste his time ??? Nice guy obviously. To return to the question posted, if you want to do it a la Bill Monroe you will need to "put it way up into G" as I was advised by Wayne Ledford. Wayne claimed that it was from him and his brothers that Bill got the idea when they were playing at the court house in Bakersville, N.C. but when I queried this with him on another occasion he tended to back track slightly. Personally I do it in E, I find it easier to hold onto that long yodel the way I first heard it from Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Hoot |
