BS: The Basic Rubbish of Stupidity

* Things like never examining one's beliefs.
* Like always/usually believing the most outrageous reports without lookng to the motives of the persons making the reports.
* Like believing the most ignorant, least logical, totally over the top charges about someone you don't like.
* Like, conversely, automatically, disbelieving anything that doesn't fit into your own set of (unexamined) beliefs.

Any more?

Ebbie, the basic rubbish of stupidity to me runs like this:

I request an answer to you for my own post. You have let planty of links stand from this same site (www.mudcat.org) that also would be broken and I had even gone as far as to warn you in my post that link would not work for a while.

Plaease explain how you delete the link explaining yet manage to ignore 20 or more in the F&A section that would have been guarnteed to fail.

The answer from the BBC generates:

Dear BBC Reader,

Further to your complaint about some of the content on a BBC community site
(reference number P4024365), we have decided that it does not contravene the House Rules and are going to leave it on site.

If you have read the House Rules carefully and are still unsure why your complaint was not upheld, please reply to this email.

If anyone can explain to me how that addresses what I'd tried to ask (and I complained about my own post)...

Possibly some down to me but in all honesty if example 2 is anything to go by, I would worry even about thier ability to read the news.

LOL in shock. You've got it, Jon! I especially like "do not use or disclose the information in any way," Yeah, right. They're exposing their stupidity while trying to keep it secret at the same time. Sometimes they must wonder.

Nah Ebbie, we are supposed to be so scared as to be threatened by that...

Yeah, Ebbie!

Like: examining everything else in the World except...oneself!

Like: thinking a whole lot more money and stuff will make you happy or desirable.

Like: saying "He's worth 19 million dollars." ...when actually he just has 19 million dollars!

Like: figuring it's vitally important whether Brad Pitt chooses to be with Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie.

Like: spending 20% of your day watching TV.

Like: spending way too much time on the Interne---.. ...OOPS!

**********AAAAARRGGHHHH!!!**********

.. Things like

* labelling people if they say something that doesn't fit your world view (eg, "left"or "right", "liberal" or "conservative")

* assuming people to have a pre packaged view within a particular set of dogma that covers a response to every issue

* declaring others are "wrong" and you are "right"; and spending an obsessive amount of time proving your "rightness",

.. thats enough for now
