Tech: Clickifier troubles

I just tried repeatedly to use the link creator, and every time it caused an error and shut down my Juno. Had that happen at least once before, but now it's persistant. Is it just my problem, or what?

Works fine for me....

Test

I'd guess it's an issue with your browser...

Just learn the simple HTML to create a link and you'll never have troubles again.

It's ‹a href="insert full URL here"›linked text‹/a›.

just tried that twice, proof-read my coding carefully, and nothing came through but the linked text in plain black. Some days I'd like to win just one...

Use no spaces, remember the quotes and remember to close the link at the end with the /a

When you preview your post are you looking at the preview at the top of the window or what you typed in which is at the bottom?

I use Juno too, and can't make clickies.

some days my computer locks up when I type merely one character in the URL box. The people at Juno say that some other software, such as fax software, is competing with my browser, but I can't think of any such software. I used to use HotFax, but I uninstalled it.

Now I just go places through Google.

I have no idea why Juno might make this difficult, but whether you use Juno or not, you can type

<a href=http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm>some words here</a>

the conversion to a clickie is not subject to whatever limitations Juno may have, it is done by the combination of Mudcat and the receiving PC reading that code and knowing how to display it..

Well there is a <TR> without a corresponding </TR> in the HTML for the first form on the page. Not sure if that would upset Juno or not.

that would kill some browsers, but Netscape & MSIE usually can hadn;e that one gracefully

Hmm I'd assumed Juno was a web browser I'd not come across and was going to download it to try it. Seems like they are an ISP of the AOL variety...
