If you haven't been, you are in for a wonderful experience. Iceland's beauty is incredible. Sorry I can't tell you about any trad, though. Have you checked with the Iceland Tourist Board? I've found them helpful. Under "Tours and Activities" they have boxes in which to search for concerts and culture. Another thing to do is to ask at the lodging where you are staying. Hotel (etc) managers often have local knowledge. |

We are staying at some guesthouses with actual hosts so I will definitely check with them. |

I wished while I was living there I had the opportunity to roam more widely (medical duties gave me a short leash) and have been waiting literally decades for a chance to go back. The friend I planned this with is a stamp collector who became fascinated by this country he has never seen. It is beautiful, and fascinating, and the history pokes its head into daily life as the boulders poke into the fields. |
