It's a sort of half surprise and they haven't told me who's coming but the memsahib said I should put this thread on to tell anyone whom she hasn't been able to contact that they would be most welcome at the sesh. The Carnival is dead easy to get to. Come off the A15 dual carriageway at the Barton exit - just by the Humber Bridge - go down the hill 50 yards then turn right at the small roundabout. Follow the road round, the Carnival is 300 yards down on your left. I'd love to see anyone I've ever played with - or even those people I've never played with - there! Anyway, happy birthday to me! See you tomorrow! |

Won't be able to make it, though (well, I couldn't contribute anything substantial to the session anyway). Have fun, and Herzlichen Glueckwunsch zum Geburtstag und alles Gute fuer die naechsten 21 Jahre! |

29 Aug 05 - 04:17 PM (#1552405) Subject: RE: Bloke's birthday session in Barton From: Bloke in the Corner It was a most excellent day for me, starting with a flying lesson - courtesy of my kids - so me and a fifteen stone flying instructor in a Cassna 150 . That's a two seater about as wide as an armchair. Anyway, he let me take off and fly it around the area, so I really enjoyed it. Then lots of family for a curry banquet in the afternoon, and the truly excellent session in the evening. There were about 30 people there, who helped finish up the rest of the curry. Much music, good food, fun in the air and family and friends all around. Couldn't have had a better day. Trouble is, today I am 56..... see you Tuesday if you come to the Barrow session. |
