07 Sep 05 - 06:47 AM (#1558332) Subject: Bye Bye Blues - from Ascot From: Roger the Skiffler My regular reader will be familiar with my moans about the poor attendance at blues nights (despite good performers) at Jagz in Ascot. The Autumn programme has now deleted blues altogether but there is now a traditional jazz night once a month midweek which I shall go to and big bands return monthly as well. Rest of the midweek programme is tribute bands and new acoustic (ie pop) acts. One special with Hitman Alexander promised , I enjoyed his last gig. Some information at www.jagz.co.uk, though they still can't spell "Wednesday"! Fortunately, South Hill Park in Bracknell has monthly blues on Saturdays, now Herself is retired and our weekends are less frantic, we may make some of those. RtS |
