More 'Flim-flam'

The 'Flim-flam' thread has reminded of a song by Jake Thackray about a ticker-tape machine which had these lines:

Tick, tock, it's chock-a-block
With flim-flam, piffle and poppycock.

....

It drives me crackers, but I can't tear myself away,
I've got to listen to what its got to say,
My wittering, twittering tick-er-tape (ticker, ticker, ticker ticker .....)

Anyone remember the rest? It doesn't seem to be here or on a number of Jake Thackray sites I've visited.

Not in my Jake's Progress song book either, in fact I don't recognise the song.
Giok

It was the theme tune for a television programme in the earlier evening at weekends, rather than a song its own right.   And it was broadcast when Jake's had regular television appearances on "Braden's Beat", if I remember rightly.

That's about all I can remember about it.

I remember this song. The opening line went something like............

Just over there, up on the mantlepiece between our bizzy lizzie and the picture of the queen......
