wrigleys broken token

Hi out there,

Does anyone remember a TV commercial from the 1990s which featured a couple on a greyhound bus? The guy, after some soul-searching, tears his last piece of chewing gum (wrapper and all) in half and gives half to a pretty girl. He gets off and ruefully looks back at her still on the stationary bus. He goes into a diner and sits looking at his half of the wrapper, when a hand appears over his shoulder and matches the torn off edge of his wrapper to the other one. YES!! it's her! I was doing my MBA at Heriot-Watt Uni in Edinburgh at the time and our marketing lecturer was a TV commercial fanatic. He was also a folkie, but his take on the commercial was as an 'in-joke' for film buffs, because all the backgrounds were scenes from famous movies - he hadn't got the broken-token allusion.

The thing is - I'd love to find that commercial again but can't find it on the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Jack

Just great! That would be the only commercial I am sorry imissed seeing.

Check out the lyrics to my song called "That's The Ticket" in the DT! (sung to the tune of "Johnny Todd")

Wasn't the backing track All Right Now?

BULL - SH!t

I will guess the LaughKat is at the clone controls tonight.....ANOTHER de-railment on a side-spur of the MC Express.

(Joe - post your home phone number .... so such attrochious ... varients from the mean can be rectified in a more timely manner.)

Now, now, Garg, calm down. I bypassed the thread earlier because the title looked musical enough, but I guess you're right that it belongs in the non-music section. You CAN call me - my number's at switchboard.com and the usual other places.

I remember because my twins were about 5 at the time, and they just loved that advert. And they used to call it The Bus Song, not All Right Now

That's all great folks, but - - -

Does anyone know if it's lurking somewhere on the internet?

It's not readily apparent. Have you tried contacting the Wrigley's company themselves?
