Hello there everyone,

I'm back from my holiday in Blackpool so that's me back to annoy some of you again.

I can hear the moans already

Blackpool is what the scots call "abroad". Build that damn wall higher I say, and kep the buggers out :-)

Welcome back, Tam.

Did you happen to see the Ramsbottom family?

When I was in Blackpool with my dad, during the day, we spent the days going to places like Fleetwood, Cleveyleys, Saint Annes, and then we went to the Shows. It was great.

However I still don't like the Place Blackpool, however I went to Blackpool just to please me dad.

Is it compulsory for Scots people in Blackpool to wear those tartan bunnets with loads of red hair sticking out of them. They must hand them out on the coaches at the border, do they?

And how do you all know at exactly what time to come out? Blackpool during the day is full of old dears and families. Then, apparently at a signal, Harry Ramsden's and the Tower Ballroom empty and they all disappear to their guest houses. The seafront instantly fills with crowds from whatever area of Britain happens to be on holiday that week, looking like they've only just got up (which they probably have).

I've spent too long people-watching, in Blackpool, haven't I? Well, I suppose it's more entertaining than Bobby Davro on the North Pier.

Thought that Martin Gibson started this thread--he's back, too. Hope you enjoyed your holiday, Tam--we call it a vacation here, and ours are never long enough--

Yes I go every two weeks to the folkclub, I live in a town called Saltcoats which is about 8 miles away, and I was at the festival as well along with my father.

I also play at a place the Marina Inn which is on the harbourside every tuesday, and my dad comes with me to that however he hardly comes to the Folkclub (golf hotel)

I've never started an I'm back thread. I figure one of the first posts will be someone saying, "You were gone?".
