Hello, if you leave your stuff in a taxi, dont bloodty expect us to take it back to you for free, it will be charged as a job.
i;m on about phones walllets and other stuff, your stuff, so bloody look after it then.

anyway = if you leaved your phone in tesco, do you think tescos are going to take it to your house?
aner = no, so well then.

and anyway-if you leaft your stuff on train, you have to pay to get it back, [probly about 5 quid] aministration charge.

why did I think that the title was "People leaving things in Texas."?

I guess cause I can't read.

I know someone who should have been left in Texas.

I guess that was supposed to be a joke and not a reference to Asians.

I actually was serious.

The saddest day in my life was the might I got too full and left a brand new Gibson in the back of a taxi. I never saw it again.

Slight drift here, but a musical connection at least.

Years ago I saw a programme which visited the London Underground's Lost Property Dept. Among all the unclaimed items was a white-painted double bass. I could imagine losing a brolly (imagine, hell I've done it) but a double bass?

Occasional, when I look in my rear view mirror, I find I am being followed by an "IXAT" - sinister, isn't it?

I read it -over and over - as Texas. This time I read it as 'People Leaving Thong in Texas.' My brain is a busy thing, just not productive.

Why, just yesterday I flagged a taxi because I'd had too much to drink. I inquired of the driver whether he had room for a case of beer and a pizza. He told me no problem. I felt much better afterward.

Bruce - did you read about my nephew's adventure on an airplane? Projectile vomiting before it even left the terminal.

I have left things in taxis. Sorry Sir jOhn. Once I left a purse with all my credit cards and a large amount of cash. I was in NYC looking for an apartment while moving from Chicago. Two weeks later, the cabbie tracked me down via a Chicago library card. He was a very young man whose mother harped at me the whole time I was at his home retrieving the wallet. He had not touched a thing and was rewarded generously.

Surely this is not as serious an offense as leaving dead moggies on your lawn?

Ahhhh, congartes on the4 promotion, jOhn, to honorable, which indeed you are... Better than that you are the Right Honorable, if i read, reread, or rereread, what you habve posted...

Yes, you are enirely coorect... Don't leave nuthin' nowhere if you don't want it back...

Hey, you leave like a Mad Magizine on yer airplane and discover that you'd done it... Like this is what airplnae ain't got no reverse gears...

Yer Mad is history...

I mean, like gone, gone, gone...

Taxi ain't no different... They ain't drivin' in reversefor some 800 miles that it took you to discover that you leff the Mad magizine on the rear seat!!!

Here's my suggestion= Get 2 subscriptions to Mad....

Ain't no others....

It was amazing! One of the few times I ever needed a taxi and there it was, right in front of me. I plopped my bag in the back and before long we were at my destination. When I went to get my bag I noticed a guitar next to it. I asked the driver if he played. He said he didn't. It was left by some guy who rode with him a few hours before. I laughingly said that I'd give him ten dollars for it. To my great surprise he said, "Make it $20 and you've got a deal." I handed him the money, grabbed the guitar and ran. It turned out to be a brand new Gibson!

First thing I did when I went to Quebec last year was leave my camera in the taxi... *sigh* and it had the pix of taking my kids to camp for the first time *bigger sigh* - and I didn't get it back *enormous sigh* - Sorry, there is a new Asterix coming out, I couldn't help the reference.
