Shambles is wrong!!! I was forced to open this thread by an elf!

And we will force you again, and again, until you do it our way or no way! - joeclone

Oh, and Ted, we hereby award you the designation of

That's alright then. I suspected 'someone' had gone and started another Shatner thread....

No way is Shatner appearing on this thread. Unfortunately I have go go to Whitby tomorrow and sink a few swift halves in The Endeavour, so I am relying on the Elves to DELETE any posts that I might deem unsuitable whilst I'm away. I think!!

Boston Legal

Denny Crane!

( ...and also this very funny movie)

Shambles is wrong!!! I was forced to open this thread by an elf! says my mate Ted...but Ted...everyone elses 'elf is suffering because of this thread....the National Elf Service is already overworked and understaffed or should I say 'short' staffed.
Best wishes, Mike.
PS How is that gorgeous daughter of yours?

Morning Mike,
The eldest ugly one is now at University in North Wales, training to be a Vet. So that's half my pension plan sorted, just got to get the youngest one out paying for me as soon as possible now.

As far as William Shatner and I are aware – no poster on our forum has ever been forced to open a thread.

We didn't say that no poster had ever been forced to start one.

Perhaps we are wrong?

What did they threaten you with Ted? Not the comfy chair....?

Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise....

Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency....

Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope....

Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

Nope! An elf has found a way of playing Bob Dylan at me through my computer speakers without me being able to shut it off!! It's awful, it sounds like Woody Guthrie with a Vicks inhaler stuffed up each of his nostrils!! Donovan it ain't!

[Zoom into Fang's horrified face]

Fang [terrified]: The...Comfy Chair?

[Biggles pushes in a comfy chair -- a really plush one]

Ximinez: So you think you are strong because you can survive the soft cushions. Well, we shall see. Biggles! Put her in the Comfy Chair!

[They roughly push her into the Comfy Chair]

Ximinez [with a cruel leer]: Now -- you will stay in the Comfy Chair until lunch time, with only a cup of coffee at eleven. [aside, to Biggles] Is that really all it is?
Biggles: Yes, lord.
Ximinez: I see. I suppose we make it worse by shouting a lot, do we? Confess, woman. Confess! Confess! Confess! Confess
Biggles: I confess!
Ximinez: Not you!

Well, I can't log in, either, so I don't have access to proof one way or another. Generally, the 100th/200th claims are a no-no in music threads and in many serious discussions. People have come to think of them as obnoxious. I don't know why, but that's what they think.
I don't bother with them, but they're fair game for the Clones.
-Joe Offer-

Ted having succeeded in making claims for the 100th post less obnoxious - so that the Chief of the Mudcat Editing Staff himself now makes such claims and they are also safe from the attentions of the lesser of our anonymous volunteer fellow posters - it looks like you will have the record for the number of editing comments inserted unbidden into your post.

In the first post to this thread - I see you already have both the tiny green writing and the brown stuff.

Bunahanainbnbin,
I prefer the 'judas' style electric mewlings of High Holiness Bob of Dylan, to the earlier 'unplugged' racket, so I'd better leave the speakers plugged in!

It's just that stopping him makes him try harder, so there's no point.

The 10,00 on MOAB that's coming up is another matter though....

Yo Shambles,
I LIKE the tiny green and brown inserts! If this was 'The Times' or 'Flamenco International', or even 'Mountain Bike Rider' I may be concerned over censorship/editorial policy, BUT IT ISN'T! It's a bloody folky website with zero political influence, so I aren't too bothered about it.
Oh bollocks! You've got me at it now!

Are you out there petal? I now realise that whenever you get close to completely routing your detractors, the mudcat "Authorities" DELIBERATELY CRASH THE MUDCAT FOR A FEW DAYS.This little trick is designed to give them a bit of breathing space in order to attempt to respond to your pearls of wisdom.
