Some Old Time player friends of mine go regularly, as do some musicians of other persuasions. A bit too far from Doncaster, or I'd be a regular. Ray |

From: Dave Sutherland Yes it's always worth a look in on a Sunday afternoon especially now that most of the festivals are over. Mainly old time and bluegrass as mentioned but always well played and a very nice atmosphere. Good beer and the pub is supposed to be haunted. |

I just want to tell everyone that there is a meeting of the clans at The Old Oak , Horsely Woodhouse starts a three in the afternoon, goes til late in the night. the gang from Spondon Folk Club will be there , and I reckon they're all pretty good. The meeting is in the big conservatory, its a real ale pub and it has a nice landlord and landlady Sunday April 23rd St George's day - makes you proud to be English. al |

It was always something of an informal session, and she did say that anyone who wanted to turn up and play could do so. |

However there is a stone (gravestone or road sign) buried within the tree outside on the village green. Can just make out the letters AR and what looks like a royal crest. Anyone know about it ... or do you know a man (or woman) who does? |
