if you go to this thread you will find it..
we discussed this in 1998
click on that and find it

and put "kentucky babe" in the search box and you will
see that we have had this in the forum a few times...

and when you start a new thread there are
instructions there to do a search...you
will find it..i rememgber my mother sang
this too..good memories, if not politically
correct....

and oh, by the way welcome to mud cat..
best to be specific when you ask for
a song and put as much as you remember in the
title..."i'm looking for a song" is the
subject of many posts here every day!

many of us got here because we were
"looking for a song"

welcome, and become a member, and
come back often. glad you found us.

There was a discussion about this song here on Mudcat. The lyrics are included.

Lyr Req: Kentucky Babe

There are some links further down to get the sheet music or to hear a song sample, but I don't know if the links still work.

Durnit, open mike, you beat me by 2 minutes. Oh well, we both found the same thread.

I found it through Google.com, by the way. Only 2 references to the song and one was at Mudcat.
