Breezy is off the air at the moment so here is a late reminder that the St Albans (UK) Windward Folk Club re-opens this Friday 14th October after an extended summer break.

The usual array of top quality residents will support this week's star guest, the inimitable, one and only, Mr JOHN BREEZE.

Doors open at 7:49pm, music starts at 8:23pm

Is it true JB was the 7th Beatle

Can't confirm it, but I heard that too Ross. Apparently he's never forgiven them, and it's why he never does any of their songs now.

One wag even told me that JB was Yoko Ono's love child

I ask you - he doesn't even look Mexican

Might not look it, but I wonder if I haven't heard him talking Mexican once or twice, particularly after he's had a couple of Tijuanas.

Oh - sorry ref - I've never been red carded on the Mudcat before

I highly recommend everyone to go along and support John Breeze tonight - his performance at the Blue Anchor this month was breath taking

I just wish he'd stop stalking me - he's outside the window now; playing the 'wild rover'

Wild Rover, that's not Breezy surely....

He threatens to sing it every week, so it had to happen one day!

Seriously though Breezy did a top notch gig at Orpington last Friday. He's in great form at the moment so it should be a cracking night.

Good to hear that Orpington went well, bit worried about the Wild Rover though! Wish I could have been there but I was otherwise engaged. Have fun tonight!!

If it's your birthday, and even if it isn't, come along - there will be cake.

You could always make him a carrot cake

Breezy always has his cake and eats it (grumble, grumble)

Doors now open at 7.51 GMT due to atmospheric alterations

Crackin'evening!

Les Sullivan gave us a couple of new songs.

Becky Price and Richard Heacock (hope I've got thst right) played amazing accordian and fiddle.

Breezy was Breezy, Fleggy's fingers flew, Christine charmed us and I was there too.
