I was so successful with my last request here that I know someone out there can point me in the right direction or provide the answer. Or am I just hallucinating? Whoever it is, sings the last line of the 1st verse "And I'd call you up if I just knew...." Some one with a voice and a style that fall between those of Bonnie Raitt and Maria Maldaur (spelling). Bett Midler??? (I really liked the Amazing Rhthym Aces too. My brother taped a PBS show, "Nashville Skyline", I think, which had Russell singing a song he wrote , "Pearls". I learned it , play it and it's my daughter's favorite. Never heard it anywhere else. The man can write a song. |
