Also, did Donuel make it? He was hoping to be a day tripper. There were a number of people missing. Especially Joe Offer - we knew that - but whree was Pene Azul? Doesn't Jeff come every year? |

22 Oct 05 - 09:33 PM (#1588733) Subject: RE: BS: Where's Azizi? From: Joe Offer We'll have to twist Azizi's arm and get her to attend the Getaway next year. I'll be there next year, for sure. Missing it this year was just too traumatic. I e-mailed Azizi. I'm sure she'll pop up soon. -Joe Offer- |

22 Oct 05 - 11:01 PM (#1588770) Subject: RE: BS: Where's Azizi? From: Azizi Wow! Thanks for the thread folks. I just returned from visiting with extra-terrestials on the planet Tertius in the year 4109AD {give or take a couple of years depending on how you measure time}. Well, actually I just got back from a business trip in which I had to do without the Internet, and I missed you guys and gals too! I have a whole lotta reading to do to catch up with what's been happening-like the Getaway for example. I'm sure it went well. As to whether I will be able to attend next year. Well, I'd love to say "Definitely!!!" But I have this open invitation to visit Mars and Venus and might not be back in time. I missed you guys and gals. Thanks again for thinking of me. Azizi |

23 Oct 05 - 08:58 PM (#1589355) Subject: RE: BS: Where's Azizi? From: Peace Love that book. There is a 'cowboy' story in the middle of it somewhere. Neat. Takes place on a far-off planet. Heinlein had Lararus burning all the money that people put in the bank for safe keeping. Neat ide, since they were just paper takin' up room. |

23 Oct 05 - 09:04 PM (#1589360) Subject: RE: BS: Where's Azizi? From: Rapparee Hmmmm.... I like the philosophical underpinning here, "paying it forward." I grew UP on Heinlein. I think I now have everything he wrote, including "A Tramp Royale" and "Take Back Your Government." My friend Spider Robinson is writing a book about his relationship with the Heinleins; it's due out next year -- Spring, I think. Rah, rah, RAH! |
