Had some lyrics including "it goes for miles and miles/from the San Francisco Bay/it goes for miles and miles/all the way to San Jose". Also "cut down the trees/they filled up the gullies where the rivers once flowed". Can anybody identify this song for me? Thanks. |

Quite angry, sort of updated Woody Guthrie style. Someone loaned me an album with it on about 1978 or so. I can remember the tune very clearly but not most of the the words or the name of the artiste. Obviously it was an American singer. I was in CA a few weeks ago and it reminded me of the song. Thanks.
