Lynne's Donisthorpe Session (Sept?)

This message is more than a little late! Going back to the end of September (I think!!), when Lynne organised a weekend long sea-themed session in the Turks Head in Donisthorpe. I was wondering who the (possibly Scottish) guy playing guitar & singing in the corner was, because we thought he was fab!!

I'm trying to think who it was. Any more info? What did he sing?

Love Lynne

Absolutely no idea!!! He wasn't singing sing-a-long songs that I knew. The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that he was Scottish!

I don't really sing loud enough to be singing in pubs, and struggle with acompaniment as pianos aren't the most portable! Had fun singing though :)

Well it was, unfortunately, somewhat hard work in that bar with the locals in, but when we do the Thursday night sessions, it's only us so much quieter and easier. Loudness of singing comes with practice so the more you do, the louder you'll get. When I was first singing I asked someone how it had sounded and they said "It was good, but a bit quiet". I haven't been accused of singing quietly for a long time!

Next sessions should be either 17th or 22nd December...I'll put a thread up shortly

Love Lynne
