BS: William or Ed? or???

Personally I reckon Emma was considerably more pissed than she can remember. Far from being William's or Ed's, it's going to turn out to be Brian Aldridge's.

Anyone opening a book on the outcome?? Personally, my money is on Will. When do we get to find out? I can't wait for the rotten cow to be proved wrong.

I'm not sure how long these DNA tests take...the firm may be having problems with Blunkett withdrawing his funds.

My money's on Will too, mind you might turn out to be Kenton's. Whosoever the father is they will drag it out for weeks yet, Brian is more likely to be mucking out pigs on his own any day now.

As far as the Archers (or any soap) is concerned, I always assume that whatever outcome will most complicate matters (i.e. provide more 'interesting' dramatic possibilites) is the most likely. Thus, I'd be willing to wager a large sum that the DNA tests will show Will's the Daddy -- 'cos if it's Ed's baby, that would make it far too easy for Ed & Emma to bugger off to France without nearly as much additional anguish, agonising & other juicy grist for the Archers' writers to sink their teeth into...

Subject: RE: BS: William or Ed? or???

Yes YY, that's exactly how I see it. MUCH more interesting if it's Will's. And one in the eye for stupid Emma as well, which has got to be a bonus!

On another side of this issue, surely whoever is on a child's birth certificate remains it's 'legal' father whatever it's DNA shows? I mean, pregnant women have married men who weren't the father before and their husband is then counted as the child's father even if it's known that he isn't the biological father. Surely even if the baby is Ed's, Will can still (if he feels like it) stake his claim, demand access and refuse to allow them to take the baby out of the country?

I suspect the tests will confirm that neither Will nor Ed are the father, neither indeed is Emma the mother, and there was a tragic mix-up in the soap maternity ward and the Grundy baby ended up being given up for adoption by Martin and Sonia, currently resident in Albert Square. Or so I am told.

I was surprised that they managed to kill off Julia so quickly. Normally they write the character out for a few months first.

For the baby my money is on neither Grundy.

I was surprised at the speed they killed off Julia as well...they must have brought the actors in specially.

I never thought of that Greg! Do you think Lewis did the dirty deed (Killed Julia, not fathered the baby)

I have it on good authority, from a source in BBC Birmingham, that Tom's sausages are indeed going to feature in a story-line, but not this one. It will concern animal rights protesters, Julia Pargeter's body, and the manufacture of the Tom's snorkers.

Emma's as thick as 3 short planks, otherwise she wouldn't have been taking driving lessons from the man who nicked his brother's car and crashed it with her in it.

It's going to get messy. Willyum won't get sole custody because the wee'un is still a baby, but he'll throw all sorts of dirt into the argument, while Emma, splashing around in the shallow end of the gene pool, will simply get paranoid and throw more dirt back. I predict a major rigt betwixt the Grundys and the Carters (as if Neil was miserable enough already!).
And Ed will probably crash another car.
