06 Nov 05 - 01:35 AM (#1598493) Subject: Mudcat Gathering 2006 (US) From: Genie Sadly, I had to miss this year's main Mudcat gathering (and all the other east coast gatherings since I found Mudcat in 2001). Part of the problem is that I have to block out my annual itinerary pretty much before the year begins. So I am hoping the dates for the 2006 Mudcat gathering have already been set and someone (Ferrara, maybe?) will post them, so I can work my schedule around those dates. Amos tells me he had a blast at this year's gathering. I wanna be there next year. Amos shouldn't get to have ALL the fun all by himself, after all. (On second thought, if Amos is entitled to have all the fun he wants all by himself. But I still wanna share the Mudcat Gathering fun. ยง;-D ) Genie |

06 Nov 05 - 07:47 AM (#1598574) Subject: RE: Mudcat Gathering 2006 (US) From: jacqui.c The FSGW Getaway next year is set for the first weekend in November. It's at a different site, with heating! It's also a bit closer to Washington. Charlie told me that there is less overnight accomodation, so early booking might be in order - don't leave it to last minute! |

I'm willing, and it could easily be done, but location mitigates against it. (I'm in north central Pennsylvania.) ~Susan |

06 Nov 05 - 03:19 PM (#1598805) Subject: RE: Mudcat Gathering 2006 (US) From: katlaughing I AM going to be there! I have been working on my stamina with the goal of 10,000 steps per day. Am averaging 3-5,000, so far, though there was one busy day which took me over 9,000. Not bad 5 months after heart surgery, methinks, though my feet hurt at the end of the day. New shoes this week should help. Now, to start tuning up the voice again, after all those breathless attempts.**bg** Can't wait to see ya! (Oh, and Rog may be able to make it, too, though he'll have to go back right after. I am hoping to rent a car and/or hitch a ride up north to see my grandkids and other daughter, as well as other Mudcatters up thar!) kat |

06 Nov 05 - 05:26 PM (#1598867) Subject: RE: Mudcat Gathering 2006 (US) From: Charlie Baum Kat-- Next year's camp will be a flat place, which will help your stamina (and the stamina of so many other grey-haired Getaway goers). Not that it matters to anyone except a few folks on oxygen, but the place is just a few feet above sea level. We're still clearing up the detritus from this year's Getaway (reassociating lost and found items with missing owners, entering silent auction donations into the database, etc.). Then we'll work on next year's Getaway. --Charlie Baum (still catching up) |
