10 Nov 05 - 08:15 AM (#1601330) Subject: New Folk Festival Gloucestershire From: Mr Red As e-mailed to me - though I new it was coming a week ago The Minch is a charming little village in the Cotswolds above Stroud. Low Key festival - but it will have a dance (and we like em round here) so it is a good foil for Alcester. Hi Mr Red Its John Mills hear emailing to let you know that under the umbrella of my charity fund raising project Folk Events (UK) I am in the process of organising a midsummer folk festival on June 16th 17th and 18th 2006 in Minchinhampton. There will be music and song sessions, a ceilidh, morris and clog dance teams and it is hope to include a mini beer festival as well! It is also hoped to have a campsite available nearby. At the moment I am working at getting funding and sponsorship which will determine the programme and any money left over after all overheads and expenses will be donated to charity. As soon as I have any further information I will email you but it probably won't be until the New Year. |
