17 Nov 05 - 11:33 AM (#1607295) Subject: RE: Tech: Gmail Invites From: Stilly River Sage I've been using GMail on a limited basis, and it has its pros and cons. Pro--it is huge, and it is free. And unlike places like Yahoo that charge for the service, they at no cost let you set up the account so you can download the email into a resident program of your choice on your computer. I wasn't using Outlook Express for anything else, so I let the Google Mail go there. Con--it seems to layer all of the old messages in a thread into each successive message so it gets pretty messy after a while. I'd like to turn that off but haven't taken the time to go through and see if I can get it to just return a reply without the excess baggage. SRS |
