Learn to play John Hurt style

Frank Delaney has posted his Rudiments of Fingerpicking teaching on the Mississippi John Hurt Museum website. The teaching is in fourteen stages, and starts with the most basic fingerpicking patterns and takes you step by step to more advanced patterns. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn to fingerpick, or even possibly get a different angle to enhance their existing style.

You need to download the Randytab Guitar Tablature Program to open these. Randytab is a very small, quickly downloaded, free program that combines MIDI and tablature, enabling you to listen the tune you are learning.
Here is a link to Randytab.

To sweeten the pot, Frank also offers his transcriptions of tablature to over twenty MJH tunes HERE. (Incidentally, there are two versions of "CHICKEN" included. One transcribed by Poppa Gator and one transcribed by khandu!)

More MJH tunes will be added as they are transcribed.

Check it out!
