Lyr Req: I still need someone??

I've looked everywhere for these words, but I don't think I have the song title right. The chorus goes something like

Oh I'll never get over those blue/brown eyes
I see them everywhere
.............

Possibly verse or chorus ends with

But I still need/love someone.

I know the tune, but the words are gone.

I believe it is a Tom Paxton song - fine writer and singer - I could be wrong

Johnny Cash, Pete (who I remember from the Anchor House and Eston in the 60s and 70s).

"I Still Miss Someone".. Haven't checked who wrote it but it was Johnny Cash who sang it.

I Still Miss Someone
(J.R. Cash, R. Cash, Jr.)

      A       D          E
At my door the leaves are falling
    D         E         A
The cold wild wind will come
A                D      E
Sweethearts walk by together
    D       E       A
And I Still Miss Someone

I go out to wild the parties
And look for a little fun
But I find the darkened corner
'Cause I still miss someone

BRIDGE[x]
A       D         E          A
Though I never got over those blue eyes
A D       E    A
I see them everywhere
A D          E         A
I miss those arms that held me
A    D       E       A
When all the love was there

I wonder if she's sorry for
For leaving what we had begun
There's someone for me somewhere
And I Still Miss Someone

A       D         E          A
Though I never got over those blue eyes
A D       E    A
I see them everywhere
A D          E         A
I miss those arms that held me
A    D       E       A
When all the love was there

I wonder if she's sorry for
For leaving what we had begun
There's someone for me somewhere
And I Still Miss Someone

Johnny Cash wrote and recorded it in 1958.

Great tune. I love singing it.

There is a lovely recording of this by his daughter Roseanne Cash on the KINDRED SPIRITS Johnny Cash Tribute CD. Her version is quite touching. She sang a nearly identical version at his memorial which was televised here in the US.

There are some other wonderful covers on that CD:
Hardin wouldn't run - Steve Earle (you'd believe Earle wrote it himself or that Johnny wrote it knowing he;d sing it someday)
Flesh & Blood - Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Mary Chapin Carpenter
Give my love to Rose - Bruce Springsteen
Train of Love - Bob Dylan

Those are my faves from that CD.

Joan Baez sang it - on her Vanguard recording JB/5.
It's credited to Roy Cash Jr and Johnny Cash.

A beautiful song.

We sang it at the Toongabbie Folk Club in Australia in the week that Johnny Cash died
