All the Iraq invasion has achieved is the direct opposite to what the US intended, it is fairly obvious that the fundamentalists have gained much more from the invasion, and this trend will continue until Bush and his fascists depart the scene. |

I would view that as being rather a positive thing ard. What were the Muslim Brotherhood before? Apart from a disgruntled bunch of fanatics who went round indiscriminately murdering and maiming people in attacks using bombs and AK-47's - sound familiar ard? Hate to point this out but they already were the strongest opposition group in Egypt going back to the time of the Sadat accord with Israel (nothing to do with Iraq). The US has pressed for greater democratisation in the middle-east, so now instead of being an outlawed group of terorists, they now have a legal political forum to present their case to the electorate, i.e. they have been drawn into the process - hey ard that sounds a bit familiar too? Are you saying that that is a mistake, that these people cannot be trusted? Oddly enough ard there's a few wondering about just exactly that somewhere else. I actually believe that the people of Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Palestine and the Lebanon have benefitted - not just the fundamentalists. |

Get this, and understand, the world is not a safer place and the war in Iraq is still going on and also Bush and Blair lied to the gullible masses in the US and Britain so that the two vultures could control the oil, and no amount of long-winded waffle can change that. |

29 Nov 05 - 06:50 PM (#1616739) Subject: RE: BS: Muslim Brotherhood strongest oppositionP From: Teribus The Muslin Brotherhood were already the strongest opposition party in Egypt long before Iraq, long before Afghanistan, long before 911. So it has absolutely nothing to do with GWB or Tony Blair - Nothing you can say can alter that, the easily verifiable fact that that particular organisation was outlawed in Egypt long before GWB or Tony Blair came on the scene speaks for itself. According to a UN commissioned study funded by five member states dated 18th october this year actually tells us that the world definitely is a safer place, if you doubt/dispute that take it up with the learned men at the University of Vancouver and the University of Uppsala. Bush and Blair did not lie to the gullible masses in the US and in Great Britain. The gullible masses of those nations believed the drivel and second rate opinions of the press and broadcast news media. I have asked in another thread about how America controls Iraq's oil, so far non of the anti-war, peace-at-any-price, anti-Bush/Blair crowd, who keep coming up with this crap can come up with an answer. Maybe you will have better luck. |

Your cause and effect analysis is all bolloxed. |
