BS: I feel like a moan..listen pls ?

What about having a moan here and then the next person has to sympathise, before going on to moan about something that has bothered them today ?

It could be good for those of us that live alone and have no-one to moan to ?

Ok, I'll start... One of my regular clients was moaning at me today because we will be closed next week.. but it's a national holiday ! That's hardly my fault !

ah, the sweet sound of a guest making an ungracious eejit of themselves.....how would we live without it now, when it fuels so many threads?

I had a marginally aggravating day which started with someone being vaguely ( but not directly, which is easier to manage) accusatory about something I didn't do.....but it ended with a nice pint, in a nice pub at the end of the Christmas Light turning on......so I don't need sympathy.

Looks like you're only going to find sympathy in the dictionary, between shit and syphilis!

[Yes I think your customer is being unreasonable and selfish too.]

I started the day by writing a Christmas card to the aunt whose son was killed in Sept.. how do you wish someone a Merry Christmas after that?

Then I spent the WHOLE day at work (which is bad enough by itself) sorting through what amounts to a 7ft pile of papers looking for one piece of post; some of that pile dates back a year. Then I got stuck in a queue outside the tube station because the police commandeered a train to take football fans...... 45 mins in the cold. The bus didn't arrive for ages (others at the stop said they'd been there 40 mins and not seen a single bus) and so had about 35 seconds to scoff down dinner before being 30 mins late for choir practice, where they tell me that I can't take Limpit with me again because she's too disruptive!
On the way back home, my water bottle leaked so the passenger seat of the only working car is now soaked.... I've got a headache and I lost my eraser at work.

I still didn't find the piece of post I need.... got to go through another 6ft pile tomorrow.

My head feels like a Kerplunk game and someone is taking all the straws out!!

Do I at least get a hug?

And a hug for Liz too...

I particularly loved the 'Kerplunk' analogy. Some days I feel as though I'm losing all my marbles, indeed!

where do I start....?

-it was in the year of '81 when it happened, 'cos then a pound of apples was only half-a-crown, and they tasted much better., and pounds were heavier than kilos.... these new french ones jus' ain't the same.....but things were simpler then , only 240 pennies in an old pound, no mobile phones you can loose in the fluff in your belly-button, no, than they were majestic affairs like small suitcases and people used to respect you because of it...I remember...

I don't know where you lived in '81, but the rest of the country went decimal in '71, were the apples 10 years old or what?

Ah yes Dave.... considerably better than the one the kitten Raven is having today... he's gone in for the 'op' that makes all men in the room cross their legs. See, you're doing it too!

I don't have to worry about losing my marbles any more. A friend gave me one in a metal clip on a string to wear around my neck so that I've always got at laest one.

But I can't seem to find it today...

Yes, Squeak, I know what you mean about those piles of paper. I've been trying for weeks to get rid of all the papers around here, but progress is slow. I deal with a few, then I decide to reward myself by playing some music. An hour later...
