30 Nov 05 - 09:03 AM (#1617151) Subject: RE: BS: I need the name of a film From: jeffp Would it be, "Mysterious Island?" The one about the escapees from a American Civil War prison camp whose balloon crashes on the island. They battle a giant crab and end up tipping it into a fumarole, which cooks it. Giant crab feast follows. A real treat for this Maryland boy. From the story (book?) by Jules Verne. |

30 Nov 05 - 09:24 AM (#1617172) Subject: RE: BS: I need the name of a film From: Fiolar It's more likely to be "Attack of the Crab Monsters" (1957) which was directed by Roger Corman and starred Richard Garland and Ed Nelson among others. However there is also "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" (1970) which has several giant crabs attacking cave people on a beach before a tidal wave arrives. |
