Does anyone out there have the lyrics for a song recorded by Steve Goodman called {I think} Trouble will find you? The chorus goes If your lookin' for trouble , trouble will find you. Trouble will find you, deaf, dumb and blind you If your lookin' for trouble let me remind you, you sure don't have to look to hard. Thanks

Check out the Steve Goodman site at:

Someone there would have the lyrics for sure. I might as well. I'll look around.

Wow, a chance to pay back the board for once. thanks
Here are the words:
(starts with Chorus)
Don't go lookin' for trouble, trouble will find you.
Trouble will find you, trouble will find you.
Don't go lookin' for trouble, trouble will find you.
Sure don't have to look to hard.

1st verse:
First time you take a drink yoou want to spit and sputter
Shiver and shudder, mumble and mutter.
But the next one tastes so sweet it makes you want another.
Now you drinkin' all the time.

(repeat chorus)

2nd verse:
First time you shade the truth you want to run and hide.
Your tongue gets tied, your throat gets dry.
Start thinkin' maybe no one knows you lied.
Now your shady all the time.

(repeat chorus)

Bridge:
Trouble will pin a tail on you.
Follow you around.
Catch you when your number's up.
And your guard is down.

3rd verse:
First time you fall in love, the skies are sunny.
She calls you honey, your jokes are funny.
She reminds you she was only in it for the money.
Now your drinkin' all the time.

(chorus, only slightly different words)
Don't go lookin' for trouble, trouble will find you.
Trouble will find you, deaf, dumb and blind you.
Don't go lookin' for trouble, trouble will find you.
Sure don't have to look too far...
...trouble in your own backyard.

There ya go... have fun and "first one with the Chords is a rotten egg." (giggle)
marla

According to Allmusic.com, the correct title for this song is LOOKIN' FOR TROUBLE.

Steve Goodman recorded it on "Jessie's Jig & Other Favorites."

Jamie Hartford recorded it on "What About Yes."

Gene Parsons recorded it on "Birds of a Feather" and "Live from Caspar."

(Other people have written songs with the same title.)
