(He admits this of his own free will and without coersion of any kind.) He then became a highly respected chemical kineticist, much of the time as head of the Chemical Kinetics Division of Aerospace Industries. This qualified him to lecture on Cowboy Folklore and author THE book on railroad folksong, Long Steel Rail. (1981, 2nd edition 2000), as well as lots of other early USian song and sound books, CDs, articles, folk background research on the Haggadah, etc. Look for his name on stuff as authoritative.
