I voted for Bush because I would not vote for Herman Munster. So did the majority of America. Certainly not the majority of Mudcat, but what else would you piss and moan about, especially the few of you who live North of the U.S. in your semi-socialist state.

I can only wonder at the basis you choose for selecting public officials.

No, Martin, the "majority of Americans" didn't vote fir Bush... If you take the 58% of Americans who voted and you take 51% of them, at best, if Busg actually won at all given the big difference between exit polling and the final results, Bush night have gotten 30% of Americans eligible to vote who voted fir Bush...

30% is hardly a majority of Americans...

So Marty, why the hell vote at all if you speak truth? You are not obliged to vote, unlike here in Australia.

'Liberal' Political Parties originally were formed world wide with the intentions to perform much 'socialist' acts, such as use tax monies to help the poor. Such parties have now been hijacked.

You have just revealed yourself as a 'fascist' to the rest of the world .

Bush is the worst president this country has ever had, and if the entire world comes to an end through environmental degradation and air & water pollution, he'll deserve a big piece of the blame. OTOH, he may just be ushering in the next round of dark ages, a long period of decline and hardship. I just saw "Syriana", which focuses on the dark side of the oil biz (which doesn't have much of a light side, as far as I can see), and it's left me pessimistic about the prospects that my own two grandchildren face.

Needless to say, I voted against him. John Kerry is not Herman Munster, he's an intelligent and honorable man -- unlike W.

Foolestroupe, all people with faces are fascists. We are not socialists in America, thank God. We are free to give to charities to the poor on our own and do not need the government to tell us to share it with a bunch of freeloaders

dickie g, I base my choice on that he was a better candidate that Herman Munster Kerry for reasons that I do not need to justify to you or anyone else. I'm entitled to that. Your problem. You voted for a loser. I didn't. I am not Bush's biggest fan, but Kerry was a joke. More than half of the country thought so, also and that is the way it is done here, not bobert's method which is just typical of the way certain mentally ill liberals try to make their own rules as they go along rewriting history and morals.

As far as I am concerned, you whiners are sore losers, sour grapes, and have very little to do with your time but continue to be just a bunch of handwringers wasting your time everyday pissing and moaning about something you can't change. What a waste of energy.

Good times: When the economy has been rescued by a Democratic administration.

Bad Times: When a democratic populist president is in office or a civil rights advocate takes the world stage.

In good times Republicans vote with their money.
In bad times they vote with a bullet.

Hey Martin gibson, I beg to differ with you. You are the one who voted for a "LOSER". If this great nation is able to withstand all the damage Bush has done to it, it will be a miracle. Kerry would have been a great president!

Hey -

Regardless of sour grapes, Kerry or the so-called "election": Bush still does nothing of any value. In fact he is such a big loser, he even lost bin laden. Killed alot of people along the way and for what? An abstract concept called the economy? Call it what you want but I call it greed. Oink!

Greedy people do not generally contribute to charities. Thats why
its the responsibility of the government to care for our most vulnerable citizens. Figure it out.

Why do you waste your time apologizing for Bush, Martin? I guess all you greedy bastards like to stick together, eh? Glad most of you live south of the border. You don't seem to understand how our government works, so in your ignorance, you call it a semi-socialist state. Pathetic.

As to the mental health issue: I think most people on this forum know exactly the state of your own mental health. Speak for yourself.

Foolestroope - I think Martin is more of a pseudo-fascist. In fact, I think he has no class at all.

Go look up the true meaning of the word"anarchist"before blubbling about "socialist crybabies".If all those Bush Babies started to do some "thinking",well, what a good idea that would be.When Reagan came to power,he said that the education system was a mess.He just didn't know how bloody right he was.

Martin points up the truth about himself when he categorises the poor of the USA as a "bunch of freeloaders".

While there are undoubtedly some who work the system, as indeed there are in my country, the majority of these people are poor through no fault of their own, and many of them are in fact working.

The jobs they have are those that Martin and his ilk would consider too demeaning if they were asked to do them, but they are essential to the comfort and well being of the nation. What a pity that they can't be paid a living wage because that would reduce the obscene level of profit demanded by corporate shareholders.

In truth, it is the Martin Gibsons of this world with their "As long as I get mine, screw the rest of you" attitude, who are the real freeloaders, trampling over the poor on their way to the bank.

Martin Gibson and everyone,

My mission is also to give their good names back to the superlative Martin Guitar and the slightly less wonderful Gibson Guitar. No person with your venom spewing mouth ought to be allowed to usurp those honored names.

LMAO!!! Oh poor Martin. Man o man a public lynching if i've ever seen one. My sides hurt!!!

Bush is clearly the better man than Kerry. And for all the Bush is dumb business, he did have a higher gpa. But I have not been happy with him. Consider what he has done:

No child left behind: massive intrusion into states' educational systems. The first big step to federalizing education.

Steel tariffs: Mercantilism doesn't work, never has never will. This was pure pandering that only the unions could love.

Drug entitlement: As only nixon could goto china only Bush could nationalize health care.

Farm subsidies: What is he French? You might as well start a giant fire and throw tax payer money in it. This sort of industrial planning is the kind of thing socialists dream of.

Frankly, I think Bush is the most liberal president since Nixon. A real travesty, but would Kerry have been better? Right....
