In case you are thinking of the same tune I know (I believe it comes from a collection by William Cole), I use these chords:

    G
as I walked out one quiet summer's morning

            C    G                        D
for to view the fields and the flowers so gay

         C          G            C    D Bm
twas there on the banks of the sweet primroses

    C    G               D    G
that i beheld a most pleasant maid

Sharp's title was "The Sweet Priméroses;" he published sheet music in "One Hundred English Folksongs (for medium voice)," No. 51, pp. 114-115. Also in "Classid English Folk Songs," Vaughan Williams and Lloyd, revised by Malcolm Douglas, as "The Banks of....".
