21 Dec 05 - 11:59 AM (#1632214) Subject: Any ceilidhs/ sessions Derby/Notts? From: Paul Burke A French friend is coming over between Christmas and New Year. If he comes up to Derbyshire (which is probable), he would like to know of any accessible ceilidhs/ dances/ sessions etc. likely to come off between about 28th Dec and 5th January. Any news, please? |

From: Big Al Whittle not a million miles away is the great city of Sheffield with amazing session type events going on every night of the week - The Red House and fagan's are two pubs with websites and worth checking out. Try to get to the Red House when Patrick Walker is playing, a local lad with astonishing prowess on the fiddle and well loved by most. In fact, take your pal to see Monsal head Viaduct(the pub there does Old Pekuliar) in the day and segue into Sheffield by night. |
