Malcolm Hobbs is taking time out from his dramatic activities to be the guest singer at the St Albans Second Sunday at 8pm at the Rose and Crown, St Michael's Street, St Albans. Singers and musicians welcome. Apart from the guest spots, the format is singaround rather than floor spots.

Bad news. Malcolm's father died unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon and he has had to go to Somerset to sort things out and has pulled out of Sunday's gig. It's only a postponement of course, as he will do it another time.

Good news. Chuck and Angela Silverman have replaced Malcolm on Sunday Jan 8. We don't hear enough ofm them as an acoustic duo, so please come and support them. Chuck plays regularly in electric band Deaf Shepherd and organises extra pub gigs during St Albans festivals. So if you are interested in a spot during the festival fortnight, June 30 to July 16 2006, this will be a good chance to have a word with Chuck.
