Lyr Req: Death Is Only a Dream

Only found one reference to this in a super search which indicated it was done by the Carter Family and would be on disc two of Border Radio. I assume they mean the CDs by Nevada Slim/Dallas Turner which my friend was marketing a couple of years ago, but I don't see it in the track listings.

Just heard it online by a Rev. Edward W. Clayborn. Anyone have the words?

Thanks,

kat

In Carter Family Songs, Part Two, on line:

Lyr. Add: Death Is Only a Dream

Sadly we sing and with tremulous breath
That we stand at the mystical stream
Through the valley inside the dark river of death
And yet it's no more than a dream.

Only a dream, only a dream
Of glory beyond the dark stream
How peaceful the slumber, how happy the waking
For death is only a dream.

Prepare me, my savior, prepare me, I pray
To cross o'er this terrible dark stream
O lead me and guide me and be near my side
It'll be nothing more than a dream.

Only a dream, only a dream
Of glory beyond the dark stream
How peaceful the slumber, how happy the waking
For death is only a dream.

Life (as we know it) is only a dream. It's temporary. Then you wake up.
