11 Jan 06 - 08:13 PM (#1646646) Subject: BS: Hamsters with gills From: GUEST,Concerned A certain we4ll known hamster fan on this forum has just been told by his landlord that the only animals that he can keep in his flat are fish. As a well known hamster lover this presents him with a problem..........how many generations of interbreeding does it take to breed hamsters with gills? I know there are several learned geneticists on mudcat with personal experience of breeding close to the genetic "edge".....i.e.cousins.....any advice? A whole genus of hampsters could be under threat here!!!!! |

12 Jan 06 - 08:29 AM (#1646935) Subject: RE: BS: Hamsters with gills From: MMario or - rather then go through the time and effort to breed hamsters with gills - you could just fill their cage with oxegen supercharged water - the pressure containment system would be a bit more expensive then your standard hamster-trail habitat system - but it could be done. |

BTW, the Church officially declared beavers to be fish*, and they're related to hamsters. * This is really true. It meant the faithful could eat beaver on a friday. Except monks, who were supposed to give up that kind of thing... |

Of The Dammed seems to have taken over the bandstand, I guess anything goes. These guys got the BIG bucks ... Shhhhh! He's about to strike up his opening number, a Bossa Gnaw-va type thing.... Soft an warm and young and tender, The Beaver From Ipana goes walking And when she passes, all the boys go, "Aww gee Wally! No cleavage?!?! And she's got a flat tail!" (I'll leave the rest to the beavers and your imaginations.) |
