Dutch Babies are wonderful--it's an egg and flour and milk batter that is poured into a hot skillet with lots of melted butter that is then baked. They rise like big popovers and you pour syrup on them.

Your arteries won't harden before you have time to get home again after the event.

I went to the first two Rainy Camps years ago when it was held at a site closer to Portland, but haven't been back since. This time, though, I'll be there. Looking forward to some great late night sings!

Cheers,

David

I'll be there again after a great time last year and a similar, though more intimate time at sunny camp (which wasn't, though to be fair last years rainy camp wasn't rainy-very!)

What an incredible weekend! So many fine singers and delightful, significant, inspiring, beautiful songs. The level of musicianship and knowledge was very high. So was the feeling of community. And more than a handful of fine singers stayed at it, cranking the fun songs out until past 4:00 AM! (Including yrlancslad--Thanks Malcolm for another rendition of Doin' the Manch and all your other songs.)

Weather-wise, it lived up to its name, which forced people indoors and intensified the sessions.

Don't forget to sign up for Singtime Frolics, another singing weekend just a bit south of Portland (Oregon).
